Yay for Halloween! This year Ayden and Ryan seemed to be really in to Halloween. So, I decided to have a little party for the kids on Oct. 12. David and I made a haunted house in the basement out of boxes and black plastic. It turned out great and the kids loved it!! I didn't get any pictures of it!! I am so mad! I told David I was going to video it and the next day he took half the plastic down before I knew it!! Oh well! We also had pizza and a piƱata. It was a great party!
On Oct. 19, Ayden and Ryan went on their first school field trip without me!! I was so nervous, but they seemed to have had a great time at the pumpkin patch.
On Oct. 20, Ay and Ry had their last soccer game for 2012. We also went to the Berryman's annual Halloween party.
On the 27th, we went to the Hedden's annual fall party.
And, then, finally... Trick or Treat on the 31st! This was the first cold and wet Halloween since the boys started trick or treating. Of course, the only ones that noticed was the adults!!
I love October! I have been taking pictures with my camera, so not all are on my phone. Now I remember why I quit using my camera!! Having them on my phone us much easier to share!

Race for the Cure
On Saturday, the 6th, I ran the Race for the Cure again. I've ran it several times. It's always a good race and of course a good cause. This year was extra special to me because a few of my best friends ran it too! Rebecca, Nancy, and Christi! It was Nancy and Christi's first 5k!! Rebecca and I have done a few together before, but it's been several years ago. I was so proud of them!!! I didn't get a PR, but this was the next race after my PR, so I figured I can't get a new PR every race!! I still ran it in less than 10 min miles, so I was happy! My time was 30:08. We are supposed to run a race in Stanton on the 27th. I hope the girls improve their time and get hooked! IRS getting pretty cold out, so I know it will be hard for them to stick with it.

Powell county fair!
I use to LOVE fair week when I was growing up! And, I guess I still do. So, last Friday night David and I took the boys to the fair and Dad and Janet came too! It sure seems like a lot of money for the bad rides, but you can't put a price on creating memories! The boys rode some rides, suckered Papaw into paying for a game, and then watched a few VERY loud trucks at the truck pull. We had a fun time!

Camping at Cave Run
Last weekend we went camping at Cave Run Lake. Our friends, the Rasner's and a couple of their friends came too. Friday night was typical as in getting set up and then just hanging out around the fire. Sat. morning David and I made breakfast. Everyone ate and then we went for a hike. We were at Twin Knobs camp ground and the closest trail to our site was to one if the knobs. The hike was 2.5 miles. I was so proud of my boys! They did so good! Not much whining or crying and even Kodah walked most if it! After that we hung out and had lunch. Then we all tries to take naps. It was pretty hot out, so the tents were to hot for the others. However, David, Kodah, and I did take a nap in our nice ac camper! We do love our camper!! Ay and Ry just played with my phone in their bed. Later we got up and then went for a swim at the lake. Back and then dinner and more hanging out by the fire. Sunday morning we woke up and packed up. We had big plans to do some thugs around the house, but when Kodah took a nap, so did David and I! Lol. I'm normally not a napper. Oh well. We had a great weekend!

20! Really?
How have I been out of high school for 20 years??? How?????? Wow. It sure doesn't seem that long ago. I guess that's a good thing.
We had our 20 year reunion Sat. at the Clay City Municipal building. Luckily facebook helped with a little planning, but no one ever wants to plan these things and not a of people even show up. I think they said 35 out of 125 came. That's pretty bad. Oh well. I understand, but still make myself show up. Of course, I'm not sure why... I still sit with and talk to the same group of people I always did and still do! Lol. I wish if made myself talk to everyone. Guess I'm still shy when it comes to that! It was good to see everyone and I guess I did talk to some that I don't see all the time. But, they are still the ones I talk to on facebook, so I feel like I'm still in touch. Some people had already left, but we did get a picture before everyone did.

Kodah's first day of pre-school
Today Kodah started MWF part time 2's at Calvery. Since he has been going there all summer, it wasn't a really big change for him. His days will be more scheduled now, but some if the same kids are there and he has seen the teachers and helpers all summer. His teacher is Ms. Renee. She seems great and I think he will have lots of fun. He still doesn't want to go in the mornings. But, I know he is in great hands. I love Calvery and everyone there.
